D6729 (37029) running up the Forgeside Banking - PBR - 07/09/25

Channel: S.T.C Rail Productions
Player
Description
37029 is seen running up and along the steep gradient of the Forgeside Banking on the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway, running from Blaenavon High Level to Furnace Sidings on the last train of the day, with the weather being grim and drizzly, but the sound of the Class 37 diesel engine sounding fantastic as the sound echoes around the area.

Next weekend sees the diesel loco taking a rest as the Annual Steam Gala takes place on the 12th, 13th and 14th September, 2025, while the Dean Forest Railway will also be running their Annual Diesel Gala on the 13th and 14th September, 2025.

Filmed by Thomas Coombes on Sunday 7th September, 2025
