Triple Freight at Newport (South Wales) - 23/11/21
Player
Description
Today, a very big surprise came through Newport (South Wales), as three freight trains all pass through the station, something that very rarely happens at the same time in one filmed shot.
Freightliner 70001 is seen on the Wentloog to Southampton container freight service, while DB 66087 is seen passing on the other side with empty steel freight wagons heading from Llanwern Exchange Sdgs to Margum T.C, before DB 60019 passes through Platform 2 on the Westerleigh to Robeston Sdgs oil tankers.
It's amazing at just what can happen on an ordinary Tuesday afternoon!
Filmed by Thomas Coombes, on Tuesday 23rd November, 2021.
