Footage from today's events on the Welsh Marches Line with 45118. The loco is captured in Panteg Loop awaiting assistance from rescue loco 47810. Having been declared a failure a few miles North at Goytre near Pontypool . The crew later managed to get it working again, and so it limped to Panteg for further assistance. Running some 3 and a half hours late at this point, the ECS move got underway, as seen heading through Ponthir. The need for a rear loco was due to insurance as a precaution incase the peak once again failed along the route, one of the concerns being inside of the Severn Tunnel. The loco is still set to work the Diamond Jubilee Express tomorrow, to York. Thanks for watching.
