The Bodmin & Wenford Railway Autumn Diesel Gala 2026
25th -27th September 2026
Part 1 of 3 23rd & 25th September 2026
I have made this feature in 3 parts, each part covers seperate days from the event.This first part covers the 23rd and 25th (Being the first day of the gala). Over the three parts Locomotives 08444, 31210, 33012 'Lt.Jenny Lewis RN' (D6515), 37142,47306 'The Sapper', and 'Bubblecar' 121020 are captured on film plus the GWR Autocoach No: 232 built in 1951.
Locations visited over the three days are Bodmin General Station, Bodmin Parkway Station, which features mostly in the first part, Collesloggett Halt, 'Charlies Gate' on the climb out of Bodmin Parkway with gradients of 1 in 37 to 1 in 40 and also Boscarne Junction in parts 2 and 3. Some GWR passenger services are also seen at Parkway Station. The weather was quite good for the time of year and many enthusiasts attended of all ages.
