TRAINS at NEWPORT - Class 43 NMT, Class 67 Mk5s, Freightliner, GWR & More! July 2026

🚆 Welcome to Trains & Freight Diaries!

Join me for 30 minutes of non-stop railway action filmed at Newport Station, South Wales, on Wednesday 29th July 2026 between 09:15 and 15:45.

Newport is one of the UK's busiest railway locations, offering an excellent mix of Great Western Railway, Transport for Wales, CrossCountry, Freightliner, DB Cargo, Direct Rail Services and Network Rail test trains.

⭐ Today's headline attraction is the Network Rail New Measurement Train (NMT) featuring Class 43 power cars 43062 & 43013 working 1Q16, the iconic yellow HST set shown on the thumbnail.

We also see plenty of freight, Mk5 locomotive-hauled services, Voyagers, IETs and Transport for Wales services throughout the day.
