The company’s roots are in Harry Needle Railroad Company (HNRC), which says it was founded in 1998 and began by processing redundant rolling stock and recovering spare parts from vehicles being scrapped. Over time, it developed into a recognised name in the UK rail sector, expanding into locomotive hire, engineering support, storage and rail vehicle services.
Based around its established rail facilities in Worksop, with additional presence at Barrow Hill, the business supports a wide range of customers across the industry. Its services are aimed at operators, infrastructure clients and engineering teams that need practical support for fleet availability, repairs, overhauls and storage. HNRC describes itself as a leader in vehicle storage and the leasing and maintenance of locomotives, with more than two decades of experience in the sector.
